NFLPA urged to protect the health and well-being of NFL players

The NFLPA has long been committed to protecting the health and safety of the players it represents, particularly in relation to the risk of traumatic brain injury and concussions.  Health Freedom Defense Fund has urged the National Football League Players’ Association to focus on a new health concern that could affect NFL players’ long-term health and safety. The call comes in the wake of recent tragic events, including Damar Hamlin’s multiple cardiac arrests and the heart attacks and strokes of former NFL players Uche Nwaneri, Chris Baker, and Jessie Lemonier. A growing body of scientific literature suggests that COVID-19 vaccines could be a contributing factor.
