KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Judy Mikovits  accomplished scientist, researcher and outspoken medical whistle-blower

At this year’s Natural Health Symposium, we welcome the return Dr. Judy Mikovits, an expert in the fields of immunology, biochemistry, and virology from the National Cancer Institute.

She will discuss the latest science behind medical cannabis, CBD and its use in cancer, autoimmune conditions, Lyme disease, chronic anxiety, and more.

Dr. Mikovits began her early career in natural plant medicine and after spending decades in mainstream science, turned her attention back to natural healing remedies for immune health. She will share the latest research on the healing benefits of this sacred plant!

She earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from George Washington University, a cornerstone in her thirty-five-year quest to understand and treat chronic diseases, she has co-authored seminal papers culminating at least a decade of research in each of four fields: immunology, natural products chemistry, epigenetics, and HIV/AIDs drug development. In addition to more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, Dr. Mikovits holds patent # WO 2012061790 A1. “Combination Therapy for Prostate Cancer using Botanical Compositions and Bicalutamide” and authored the books, Plague and Plague of Corruption.

To learn more about Dr. Mikovits’ work and how the government has attempted to silence her, check out her book, ” Plague, One Scientist’s Intrepid Search for the Truth about Human Retroviruses and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Autism, and Other Diseases .”

How to Nourish Your Immune System: a Scientific Perspective

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Tetyana Obukhanych, immunologist, author of VACCINE ILLUSION

She has documented her scientifically-referenced perspective — that the immune system, in its fully functional state, can ensure our peaceful co-existence (i.e., without deadly or crippling outcomes) with any virus or bacteria. -She will share insight into what makes the immune system weak or strong and how you, and not the medical system, can be in control of your immune system.

Tetyana Obukhanych graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Biochemistry and then earned a PhD in Immunology. Upon completion of my PhD research thesis (on immunologic memory) at The Rockefeller University in New York, she held postdoctoral research training appointments in prominent immunology laboratories affiliated with Harvard Medical School and Stanford University School of Medicine.

Access to six part  NATURAL IMMUNITY FUNDAMENTALS lectures and regular group meetings with Dr. Tetyana Obukhanych that further explore the science that impacts children’s health and the immune system,  please join Building Bridges in Children’s Health (BBCH).

GMO, Failed Promises; Flawed Science: A Serious Health and Safety Issue

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Don Huber award-winning, international scientist and professor emeritus of plant pathology at Purdue University

The advertised benefits of genetically modified food misrepresent both the safety and necessity of the procedure. Genetic engineering is more like a virus infection than a normal breeding process, and “substantially equivalent” is a myth that hides the highly mutagenic process of genetic engineering and its epigenetic consequences to health.

Rather than encouraging independent research on genetically modified organisms (GMO) safety or performance, the companies (such as Monsanto and other GMO seed producers) have denied access to the seed for research, a forbidden publication of data, and threatened legal action if negative data are disclosed. Rather than the way to feed the world, current genetic engineering is a disaster in the making and is not a sustainable strategy!

Dr. Huber is Professor Emeritus of Plant Pathology at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Idaho (1957, 1959), a Ph-D from Michigan State University (1963), and is a graduate of the US Army Command & General Staff College and Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He was Cereal Pathologist at the University of Idaho for 8 years before joining the Department of Botany & Plant Pathology at Purdue University in 1971.

His agricultural research the past 50 years has focused on the epidemiology and control of soilborne plant pathogens with emphasis on microbial ecology, cultural and biological controls, and physiology of host-parasite relationships. Research also includes nitrogen metabolism, micronutrient physiology, inhibition of nitrification, and nutrient-disease interactions.

In addition to his academic positions and research, Dr. Huber has had several concurrent careers including 14 years as a professional labor-relations mediator with 7 years service on the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board as a Mediatory/Fact Finder/Conciliator, and served 12 years on two school boards with recognition as a Master Board Member from the Indiana School Board Association and Honesty in Public Service Award from Taxpayers United For Fairness. He retired in 1995 as Associate Director of the Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center (Colonel) after 41+ years of active and reserve military service.

He has received various awards for his scientific accomplishments and contributions to government.

2019 Legislative Recap & Citizens Guide To Protecting Health Freedoms

Miste Karlfeldt, Executive Director of Health Freedom Idaho

Welcome to our valued attendees, speakers, and exhibitors. Miste will also discuss 2019 Legislative Session’s events and how laws and trends could affect yours and your family’s health and freedoms. She will introduce several new groups that have developed under Health Freedom Idaho.

Miste Karlfeldt is an entrepreneur, mother of four and founder of Health Freedom Idaho.  Seeking relief from an autoimmune disease that left her bedridden, Karlfeldt traveled to the Mayo clinic from Idaho, only to be told she would need 3 years of chemotherapy. She sought out a second opinion from a practitioner of naturopathic medicine and then began undergoing the modalities of treatment he recommended. Just as she was experiencing an amazing recovery (without toxic chemotherapy), Idaho lawmakers considered legislation to limit access to natural medicine. Still in pain, she shuffled through the halls of the Idaho Legislature meeting with lawmakers to tell her story. It was then she woke up to her true purpose and passion.  Her calling is to empower the citizens of Idaho by advocating for their health freedoms. She does this work by leading Health Freedom Idaho, a non-profit organization, which educates Idahoans about the laws and factors impacting their right to access the healing health care treatment, information, and services of their choice.
